How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. Open to Ireland, UK or European locations, this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing BIM  team as a Project BIM Manager, supporting the delivery of our group projects. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will oversee BIM  activities across UK Sites. Reporting to the Project  Director, you will work closely with the commercial and construction teams to deliver accurate, competitive, and commercially sound project Designs . As a key  team member, you will act as an ambassador for the company, demonstrating strategic thinking, professionalism, and a disciplined approach in all aspects of the role. 

    Your day will include:

    Lead Project BIM Coordinators and manage Revit Technician workloads.

    Coordinate with Dornan Engineers, design teams, consultants, and contractors.

    Support project planning and BIM delivery strategies alongside the BIM Manager.

    Chair coordination meetings, track actions, and report on project progress.

    Implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and BIM Implementation Plans (BIPs).

    Drive coordination efforts across multidisciplinary teams to resolve clashes and meet project deliverables.

    Chase and challenge internal and external teams to ensure information is received on time.

    Support the development of company BIM standards and best practices.

    About You

    Strong understanding of the Project BIM Manager role and RIBA Stages 5 & 6 for MEP projects.

    Excellent coordination, planning, and communication skills.

    Experience leading meetings and multidisciplinary project teams.

    Strong technical ability in Revit, Navisworks, Excel, and Fabrication MEP.

    Ability to work independently and manage team performance effectively.

    Good commercial awareness and understanding of HSE systems.

    Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused with a strong leadership mindset.
