How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Development Manager – Data Centres

    Location: UK ideally close to London

    Salary: £85-100K Basic

    Car, Commission, Healthcare, Pension

    The Opportunity

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a global engineering manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for delivering innovative mechanical solutions into the Data Centre sector.

    This is a strategic business development role where you'll be responsible for driving specification sales, developing key client relationships and identifying opportunities from the earliest stages of major Data Centre projects.

    We're looking for someone who genuinely understands the UK Data Centre market—someone who knows the key consultants, contractors, developers and end users, and has a proven track record of opening doors and influencing project decisions.

    The Role

    Working across the UK, you'll focus on developing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with key accounts involved in the design and delivery of Data Centre infrastructure.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Identifying and developing opportunities on major Data Centre projects from concept through to delivery.

    * Building relationships with consultants, consulting engineers, developers, contractors and end users.

    * Influencing specifications and promoting innovative engineered solutions at the earliest stages of project design.

    * Developing strategic account plans to maximise long-term business growth.

    * Working closely with regional sales teams to support project delivery and account development.

    About You

    This role is suited to a commercially driven individual who is well connected within the Data Centre industry and enjoys building long-term relationships.

    You'll ideally have:

    * Proven experience in Business Development, Key Account Management or Specification Sales.

    * Strong knowledge of the UK Data Centre market.

    * Existing relationships with Data Centre owners, developers, consultants, M&E contractors and consulting engineers.

    * A successful track record of winning major projects and developing strategic accounts.
