How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Air Conditioning Install Engineer

    Location: Sussex (Covering East & West Sussex)

    Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 + Overtime + Company Van + Benefits

    The Opportunity

    We're recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Install Engineer to join a well-established HVAC contractor covering Sussex and the surrounding areas.

    This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality installations across domestic and commercial projects. You'll be working on a varied portfolio of installations, from single split systems through to larger multi-split, VRV/VRF and ventilation projects, with the opportunity to develop your skills across renewable heating and cooling technologies. The company undertakes air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, heat pump and renewable energy projects throughout the South East.

    The Role

    * Installation of split, multi-split, VRV and VRF air conditioning systems.

    * Installation of ventilation and associated HVAC equipment.

    * Carry out first and second fix installation work to a high standard.

    * Read and work from drawings and technical specifications.

    * Liaise professionally with customers and site teams.

    * Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry regulations.

    The role is predominantly based across Sussex, with occasional work across the wider South East depending on project requirements.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who takes pride in producing quality installations and enjoys working as part of a close-knit engineering team.

    Ideally you'll have:

    * Previous experience installing air conditioning systems.

    * Experience with split, multi-split and VRF/VRV equipment.

    * F-Gas Category 1 certification.

    * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (desirable).

    * Good installation and pipework skills.

    * Full UK Driving Licence.

    Experience with ventilation, heat pumps or commercial refrigeration would be an advantage but isn't essential.
