How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Service Supervisor

    Location: Portsmouth / South East

    Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Vehicle/Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits

    The Opportunity

    We're recruiting for a Service Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturer within the HVAC industry.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Engineer, Lead Engineer or existing Supervisor looking to take the next step in their career. You'll support the day-to-day running of a team of field-based engineers across the South East, helping to ensure customers continue to receive a high level of service.

    Working closely with the Service Manager, you'll play an important role in coordinating engineers, supporting the team and helping to drive service performance.

    The Role

    *

    Support the day-to-day supervision of a team of Field Service Engineers.

    *

    Assist with engineer scheduling and workload planning.

    *

    Provide technical support and guidance to engineers when required.

    *

    Help ensure service levels and customer expectations are consistently achieved.

    *

    Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.

    *

    Monitor service activity and assist in improving operational performance.

    About You

    We're looking for someone with a solid engineering background who enjoys supporting others and wants to progress into a supervisory role.

    Ideally you'll have:

    *

    Experience within HVAC, Air Conditioning or Building Services.

    *

    Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Lead Engineer or similar.

    *

    Good organisational and communication skills.

    *

    A customer-focused approach.

    *

    The ability to support and motivate a team.

    *

    A full UK Driving Licence.

    Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Full support will be provided for someone looking to develop into the role.
