How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

    Location: Wiltshire

    Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)

    Job Type: Full Time | Permanent

    JP Healthcare Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established children's residential provider seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead one of its Ofsted-regulated homes in Wiltshire.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation committed to delivering exceptional care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead the day-to-day management of an Ofsted-registered children's home.

    * Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and safeguarding legislation.

    * Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing staff team.

    * Manage budgets, staffing and service performance.

    * Build positive relationships with professionals, families and external agencies.

    * Promote a nurturing, therapeutic and child-centred environment.

    * Prepare for and maintain successful Ofsted inspections.

    Requirements

    * Previous experience as a Registered Manager within children's residential care, or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up.

    * Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding.

    * Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).

    * Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

    * Full UK driving licence.
