How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Quality Engineer
    Location: High Wycombe
    Salary £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

    Role Overview:

    An established engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced Quality Engineer to join its growing team based near High Wycombe.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer with a manufacturing background to play a key role in driving product quality, supporting customers and suppliers, and contributing to continuous improvement across the business. You'll work closely with engineering, production, suppliers, and customers to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Oversee and improve daily incoming and outgoing product inspection processes.
    Lead and mentor a small team of quality inspectors, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
    Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for quality issues, both internal and supplier related.
    Implement and maintain quality documentation, including inspection criteria, control plans, and work instructions.
    Collaborate closely with purchasing, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer requirements are met.Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
    3+ years in a quality engineering role, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
    Strong experience with visual and dimensional inspection methods, tools, and techniques.
    Proven ability to lead small teams effectively, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
    Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, TS16949
