How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Behaviour Mentor required for the London Borough of Islington
Behaviour Mentor required for a long-term role starting in September
Behaviour Mentor with SEN and behaviour experience desirable
Behaviour Mentor required to support students across KS3 and KS4

Are you an experienced Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding role this September?

Do you have experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour and additional learning needs?

Would you like to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school where you can make a lasting impact on students' wellbeing, engagement and progress?

If so, this Behaviour Mentor opportunity could be the perfect role for you.

    The Role - Behaviour Mentor

A welcoming mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Islington is seeking to appoint a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join its pastoral support team from September on a long-term basis.

As the successful Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4 who require additional behavioural, emotional and pastoral support to fully engage with their education. You will provide one-to-one and small-group interventions, help students develop positive relationships, encourage appropriate behaviour for learning and implement behaviour support strategies alongside teaching staff and the pastoral team. You will also work collaboratively with the SENCO, Heads of Year and safeguarding team to ensure students receive the support they need both academically and emotionally.

Previous experience supporting students with challenging behaviour is essential, while experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be calm, resilient, empathetic and confident in building positive relationships with young people, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.

    The School - Behaviour Mentor

This inclusive and forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in Islington has built a strong reputation for its supportive pastoral care and commitment to student wellbeing. The school promotes a positive learning environment where every student is encouraged to reach their full potential, regardless of their individual needs or background. Staff benefit from excellent leadership, ongoing professional development and a collaborative working culture, making this an excellent opportunity for a Behaviour Mentor looking to develop their experience within a thriving secondary school.

Apply today to be considered for this exciting Behaviour Mentor opportunity in Islington. Interviews and trial days are taking place immediately for a September start
