How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Engineer (BESS Systems/Substations)

    £60,000 to £70,000 + In-house Training + Annual Discretional Bonus + Christmas Shutdown Period + Progression to Project Management

    Are you an Electrical Engineer or similar, with experience working with either Substations, BESS Systems or Power Systems, looking for a role at a specialist Engineering and manufacturing company of e-house substations, who, due to continuous growth are looking to employ an aspiring Electrical Engineer to their specialist team?

    Do you want to work for a growing manufacturer of substations and electrical pumping systems, who can provide you with tailored and specialist training progressing you into a Project Manager role, with the further benefits of a discretional annual bonus, in-house training on the company's expertise, and a Christmas shutdown period.

    On offer is the chance to become a key player in a company with a distinguished reputation spanning back to the 70's, who historically manufactured electrical pumping systems for the oil and gas sector for a variety of middle eastern clients, but since has diversified into the UK substation sector, in which they are seeing great success.

    In this role you will be responsible for delivering company projects from project initiation through to project closure. You will be the Electrical go to throughout the project lifecycle and be responsible for delivering project plans, defining technical requirements, and overseeing the design and installation of predominately e-house substations, along with occasional electrical pumping system projects.

    This role would suit an Electrical Engineer with experience working with either Substations, BESS Systems, or Power Systems, looking to progress into a Project Management position at an innovative manufacturer or e-house substations and electrical pumping systems, who provide great company benefits including but not limited a discretional annual bonus, a Christmas shutdown period that doesn't eat into your holiday allowance, and in-house training on the company's expertise.
