We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy Truck & Trailer maintenance facility in the Central Belt of Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the workshop, leading a skilled team and ensuring the highest standards of service, safety and efficiency.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Managing the daily operation of a busy Truck & Trailer workshop
* Leading, motivating and developing a team of HGV Technicians and support staff
* Planning workloads and ensuring maximum workshop productivity
* Maintaining compliance with DVSA, Health & Safety and company procedures
* Monitoring workshop performance, KPIs and budgets
* Ensuring repairs and servicing are completed to the highest standard
* Liaising with customers and internal departments to deliver exceptional service
* Managing parts, stock and workshop resources efficiently
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience managing an HGV or Truck & Trailer workshop
* Strong technical knowledge of commercial vehicles
* Excellent leadership and people management skills
* Experience planning workloads and maximising workshop efficiency
* Good understanding of DVSA standards and compliance
* A proactive, organised and customer-focused approach
