How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Occupational Health Nurse – Construction Projects (Home Counties)

    Location: Home Counties (site-based travel)

    Salary: Day Rate Competitive + Car Expensese + Benefits

    About the Role

    A leading UK residential developer is seeking an experienced and proactive Occupational Health Nurse to support the health, wellbeing and safety of employees working across multiple construction projects throughout the Home Counties. (Hertforshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Outer North London Suburbs)

    This is a varied and rewarding role combining regular site visits with strategic occupational health support. The successful candidate will undertake planned day visits to construction sites across the region and attend the company's Head Office approximately once per month to collaborate with senior management, HR and Health & Safety teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Deliver occupational health services across a portfolio of live construction projects.

    * Conduct health surveillance programmes in line with statutory and company requirements.

    * Provide health assessments, fitness-for-work evaluations and return-to-work support.

    * Offer advice and guidance on health, wellbeing and occupational health matters to employees and managers.

    * Support the management of work-related health issues and workplace adjustments.

    * Assist in reducing occupational health risks and promoting a positive health culture across sites.

    * Maintain accurate medical records and occupational health documentation in accordance with professional standards and GDPR requirements.

    * Liaise with project teams, HR, Health & Safety professionals and external healthcare providers where appropriate.

    * Contribute to wellbeing initiatives, health campaigns and employee engagement programmes.

    * Produce reports and recommendations for management as required.

    About You

    We are looking for a qualified Occupational Health Nurse who thrives in a dynamic, site-based environment and enjoys building relationships across diverse teams.

    Essential Requirements:

    * Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.

    * Occupational Health qualification or demonstrable Occupational Health experience.

    * Experience conducting health surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments.

    * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

    * Ability to work independently and manage a regional workload.

    * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the Home Counties.

    Desirable:

    * Experience within construction, engineering, manufacturing or other operational environments.

    * Knowledge of occupational health legislation, health surveillance programmes and workplace wellbeing initiatives.

    * Experience supporting large, multi-site organisations.
