How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Intervention Mentor - Secondary SEMH School

    Start Date: September 2026
We are looking for a dedicated and resilient Intervention Mentor to join our supportive team at a Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) School this September.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people by providing targeted intervention, mentoring, and positive role modelling to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

    The Role

As an Intervention Mentor, you will:

Build positive, trusting relationships with students who require additional support.
Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions focused on behaviour, emotional wellbeing, attendance, and engagement.
Support students both in and out of the classroom.
Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
Help pupils develop confidence, resilience, and strategies to succeed in school.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience working with young people, ideally within an SEMH, SEND, alternative provision, or pastoral setting.
Is calm, patient, empathetic, and able to build strong professional relationships.
Can confidently manage challenging behaviour using a positive and restorative approach.
Is flexible, proactive, and committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.
Is willing to obtain or already has business-use insurance, as the role may involve transporting students or travelling between locations.

    We Offer:

A supportive and welcoming team environment.
    Ongoing training and professional development.
The opportunity to have a lasting impact on young people's lives.
A varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same.
If you are passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs and want to be part of a dedicated team making a genuine difference, we would love to hear from you.
