How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    HV Engineer (DNO/Substation)

    £50,000 - £60,000 + Overtime + Shift allowance + On call + Van + Health insurance/Family health insurance + Bonus

    Are you an HV Engineer or similar with a background working in DNO or Substation environments looking for a new role with a market-leading IPC company that will aid your progression with qualifications and provide a range of benefits including regular overtime, flexible cover for nightshifts, on call and stay away at an advanced rate to generously boost your income?

    This company have been providing remedials and overhaul power connection services UK wide. They are currently looking to expand and looking to grow their team to support the continuous growth of the business.

    In this role you will pay a key part in the overhaul and repairs of HV equipment, including switchgear, transformers, structural steelwork, and control panels. The role involves hands-on electrical repairs such as cable installation and terminations, earthing and bonding, and supporting testing and re-commissioning activities.

    This role would suit an HV Engineer or similar looking for a varied role within a well-established substation company who offer personal development, training and progression within a growing, expanding business.

    The Role

    Remedials of high voltage electrical systems, equipment and components including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, cables and related equipment.
    Collaborate with engineers, technicians and other team members to execute projects, troubleshoot issues and ensure the efficient operation of high voltage electrical systemsThe Person:

    Background as a HV Engineer or similar
    Experience in power stations, solar or similar
