How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Location: Witham, Essex
    Contract: Temporary / Interim
    Hours: 40 hours per week, fully on-site
    Salary: Equivalent to £40,000 per annum (pro rata)
    Start Date: Immediate

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim HR Advisor to join a growing organisation based in Witham on a temporary basis. Working closely alongside a highly experienced Head of HR, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive generalist HR support across the business, ensuring managers and employees receive professional, pragmatic, and commercially focused HR guidance.

    This role offers exposure to the full employee lifecycle and would suit a proactive HR professional who enjoys a varied generalist remit and can make an immediate impact.

    Key Responsibilities
    Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees.
    Managing a range of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance matters.
    Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and induction activities.
    Advising on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
    Assisting with organisational change initiatives and HR projects.
    Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
    Supporting learning and development activities.
    Producing HR reports and management information as required.Candidate Requirements The successful candidate will possess:

    Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor role.
    Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing cases independently.
    Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    CIPD qualification (or working towards) is desirable.
    Availability to start immediately or at short notice.What's on Offer?
