How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Ensure transport resources are utilised effectively
Monitor transport compliance and support the reduction of infringements
Maintain accurate information across internal systems and Excel spreadsheets
Work closely with drivers, customers, suppliers and internal teams
Support vehicle and trailer availability for operational and compliance requirements
Build strong working relationships with customers
Deliver consistently high levels of customer service
Support the wider operations team when required

    What We’re Looking For

    The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience within Transport Planning, Traffic Planning or a similar transport operations role
Strong route planning and scheduling experience
    Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
    Strong geographical knowledge
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Confidence communicating with drivers, customers and internal teams
Strong problem-solving and logical decision-making skills
The ability to work independently and take ownership of daily planning activity
A proactive, flexible and hands-on approach
Good Microsoft Office and Excel skills
A good understanding of transport operations and compliance
Previous experience within tanker operations or ADR transport would be highly advantageous. However, applications are also welcomed from experienced Transport Planners from other transport backgrounds who are interested in developing within a specialist area of the industry.

You will become part of an experienced team where your planning decisions directly impact the success of the daily operation.
