Job Description

Clarence Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of ICT for a successful secondary school in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-resourced department, teaching ICT across Key Stages 3 and GCSE.
The role is available from September 2026 and offers the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate. The school is looking to appoint an engaging practitioner who can inspire students and promote a passion for digital literacy, computing, and technology.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective ICT lessons across KS3 and GCSE.
Plan, prepare, and assess lessons that support pupil progress and achievement.
Develop students' digital literacy, problem-solving, and technological skills.
Monitor and track student progress, providing intervention where required.
Maintain high expectations of behaviour and attainment.
Contribute positively to departmental development and school improvement initiatives.
Support extracurricular and enrichment activities where appropriate.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
Experience teaching ICT at KS3 and GCSE level.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for technology and digital learning.
Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to raising standards and achieving positive outcomes for students.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
