How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Supporting civil construction activities including reinforced concrete and structural steel installations.

    We're Looking For

Current live SC Clearance (essential - candidates without active clearance cannot be considered).
Experience in a quality role on a major infrastructure, nuclear, defence or heavy civil engineering project.
    Strong civils construction experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering and reinforcement drawings.
Experience with on-site inspections and quality documentation.
Knowledge of Lifetime Quality Records (LTRs).
    CSCS Card.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience with the following would be highly beneficial:

Concrete pours, pre-pour and post-pour inspections.
    Reinforcement inspections.
Structural steel assembly and erection inspections.
QC1 documentation and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

    Working Pattern

    Site-based in Reading.
Typical working pattern is 4 x 10-hour days (Monday-Thursday) with Friday reporting, although flexibility is required to support the construction programme when needed.

    What's on Offer?

    £50 per hour.
Outside IR35 (subject to individual assessment).
Long-term contract through to December 2026.
Opportunity to work on a major UK infrastructure programme.
Immediate start available for candidates with active SC Clearance.
Please note: Due to project requirements, live SC Clearance is mandatory. Unfortunately, applicants without current active clearance cannot be considered
