How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A Business & Testing Analyst is required to join a well-established, technology-driven professional services organisation based in Bath. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality software solutions by combining business analysis with quality assurance, ensuring applications are fit for purpose before reaching end users.

Working within an Agile development team, you'll be responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, creating user stories and acceptance criteria, designing and executing test plans, and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT). You'll work closely with developers, product owners, stakeholders and business users to ensure software is delivered to a high standard while maintaining strong governance across the software delivery lifecycle.

    What we're looking for:

Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Test Analyst, or Business & Testing Analyst within a software delivery environment.
Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories and clear acceptance criteria.
Hands-on experience with functional testing, regression testing, defect management and UAT support.
Experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management, user stories and test plans.
Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and software development lifecycles.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across both technical and business teams.
Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Please Note: The successful candidate must have the existing legal right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Only applicants currently residing in the UK will be considered.
