How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £16.80 per hour + Overtime

    Working Hours:
    38.5 hours per week on a rotating two-shift pattern:
    *
    Early Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm
    *
    Late Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm

    Job Description:
    This MIG Welder Fabricator position involves producing high-quality welded components using MIG welding techniques while working from detailed engineering drawings. You will be responsible for completing welds to a consistently high standard, ensuring dimensional accuracy and maintaining excellent quality throughout the manufacturing process.
    The successful MIG Welder Fabricator will:
    *
    MIG weld mild steel components to a high standard.
    *
    Work confidently from engineering drawings to complete accurate welds.
    *
    Carry out quality inspections on completed work.
    *
    Operate safely whilst maintaining high housekeeping standards.
    *
    Work effectively as part of an experienced fabrication and welding team.
    *
    Support production targets without compromising quality.
    Skills & Experience:
    To be successful as a MIG Welder Fabricator, you should have:
    *
    Previous experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
    *
    The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings for welding operations.
    *
    TIG welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
    *
    Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
    *
    Experience working with mild steel fabrications.
    *
    A positive attitude with excellent reliability and team-working skills.
    *
    Flexibility to work a rotating two-shift pattern.
