How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Are you passionate about helping children thrive? We’re looking for Residential Support Workers to support children in care across the UK.

    * Qualified staff (Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent and above): Earn a £300 joining bonus after working 10 shifts with us.

    * Non-qualified staff: We still want you! Bring your caring and supportive approach and gain valuable experience working with children in care.

    JM Workforce Services is an established specialist recruitment agency supplying temporary workers to the Child Social Care sector across the UK.

    We work with a wide range of clients from small independent providers to large multinational groups, and Local Authorities. Providing them with residential childcare staff who have the necessary skills and experiences to care for children.

    Job Title: Residential Support Worker

    Flexible work: PAYE or self-employed

    Travel support: Reasonable travel to children’s homes

    Ongoing training and career development opportunities

    * Providing emotional and practical support to children

    * Assisting with daily activities such as meals, education, and leisure

    * Encouraging independence and life skills

    * Building positive relationships with children, colleagues, and professionals
