How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Grade A Recruitment are working with a specialist alternative provision school in King's Lynn who are looking to appoint a qualified SEN Teacher to join their team from 3rd September 2026.

    This is a full-time, long-term opportunity working with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role will initially run until 23rd December 2026, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resilient teacher who is committed to supporting young people and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.

    Responsibilities:

    * Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with SEMH

    * Create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment

    * Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development

    * Monitor, assess and record pupil progress

    * Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents/carers

    * Work collaboratively with the wider school team to support individual learning needs

    Requirements:

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    * Experience working with pupils with SEN and/or SEMH needs

    * Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

    * A patient, resilient and adaptable approach

    * Excellent communication and teamwork skills

    * A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
