Carpenter

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Carpenter to join a restoration team delivering work on a high-end establishment in West Ashling, Chichester must have experience on sash windows. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established company specialising in the restoration and repair of traditional properties.  You will be part of a skilled team committed to exceptional craftsmanship, historical accuracy, and high-quality finishes, must have experience and a high finish. This role is specifically suited to a carpenter with strong experience in sash window restoration, traditional timber repairs, and fine joinery work, must live in good travel distance of West Ashling/Chichester.

Key Responsibilities

• Restoration, repair, and refurbishment of traditional timber sash windows• Splicing, easing, and rebalancing sash windows for smooth operation• Timber repairs including decay removal, consolidation, and matching new timber sections• Glazing repairs and reinstallation where required• Working from site measurements, drawings, and restoration specifications• Ensuring all work meets heritage and high-end residential standards• Maintaining a clean, safe, and professional working environment

About You

• Proven experience as a carpenter/joiner with a strong focus on sash windows• Demonstrable experience working with sash window systems (essential)• Strong heritage restoration or traditional joinery background• Excellent attention to detail and pride in high-quality finishing• Able to work independently or as part of a specialist team• Reliable, professional, and punctual• Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential)• Must live within a commutable distance of West Ashling/Chichester
