How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking to appoint a Digital Engineering Manager who will bring their skills, experience, and expertise to support the business in developing and delivering digital engineering solutions across projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating and managing digital representations of built assets from design through to construction delivery, ensuring best practice, innovation, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

    In this role, you will:

    • Support the development of the digital engineering strategy, agreeing implementation targets, timelines, and supporting the successful deployment of Digital Engineering technologies in collaboration with the Senior Management Team.
    • Develop and maintain learning programmes to enhance the Digital Engineering skills and capabilities of Design Management Teams.
    • Monitor the implementation and application of BIM procedures, processes, and project plans.
    • Undertake quality assurance audits of third-party stakeholders at a regional level.
    • Manage Digital Engineering resources and provide support to project teams.
    • Fulfil information management responsibilities across projects.

    Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Support the Lead Digital Engineer in achieving BIM Kitemark accreditation requirements.
    • Manage and support the use of digital collaboration platforms at a regional level, including BIMcollab.
    • Provide guidance, training, and technical support to Digital Engineers in their day-to-day activities.
    • Develop standard BIM guidance documents, templates, procedures, and resources to support consistent delivery.
    • Promote the adoption and effective use of Digital Engineering technologies across the business.
    • Provide up-to-date advice on emerging Digital Engineering technologies and tools, identifying opportunities to improve business performance and project delivery.
    • Support pre-construction teams in defining project digital strategies during tender stages.
    • Communicate updates to Digital Engineering procedures, processes, and standards to ensure alignment with evolving technologies and industry best practice.
    • Support the management and implementation of approved software solutions in collaboration with IT teams.
    • Develop the capability of Design and Construction Teams in the application and use of approved BIM software.
    • Support the development and implementation of 4D and 5D BIM processes.
    • Establish and manage BIM assessment data for primary, secondary, and specialist subcontract designers.
    • Conduct BIM quality assurance audits, identify areas of non-compliance, and communicate findings to project teams.
    • Produce periodic management reports for projects utilising Digital Engineering technologies.
    • Support clients in developing Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR) aligned with their Facilities Management requirements.
    • Provide advice and guidance to Design Management Teams on:

    * The application, management, and use of Building Information Models.

    * The interpretation, development, and compliance of Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR).

    * The extraction and compilation of asset information and production of COBie data.

    * The preparation of project-specific BIM Execution Plans and supporting documentation.

    * The delivery of clash detection reviews across multi-disciplinary BIM models.
    • Support Document Control and Information Management Teams in establishing project workflows and managing model information within the Common Data Environment.
    • Validate and approve Asset Information Models (AIM) at delivery stage and carry out regular reviews throughout construction to ensure model maturity and compliance.
    • Deliver Digital Engineering training programmes, including demonstration-led sessions covering BIM industry standards such as ISO (phone number removed), ISO (phone number removed), ISO (phone number removed), BS 1192-4:2014, and ISO (phone number removed).
    • Support the Lead Digital Engineer in delivering training and awareness sessions for senior management teams.
    • Provide technical advice to client design, project, and facilities management teams regarding BIM asset data requirements and implementation.

    Essential Knowledge & Experience:

    The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge and understanding of:

    • IFC and other commonly used data exchange formats.
    • Viewpoint for Projects.
    • Autodesk software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manager.
