How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is an excellent temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to lead by example, support the production team, and assist with all aspects of the manufacturing process to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead and support the production line to achieve daily production targets.

Supervise, motivate, and support production operatives.

Be hands-on and assist wherever required.

Ensure food safety, hygiene, and quality standards are maintained at all times.

Monitor production performance and minimise downtime.

Carry out quality checks and complete production documentation accurately.

Liaise with other departments to ensure production runs smoothly.

Promote a safe working environment and comply with all health and safety procedures.

    About You

Previous experience within food production or manufacturing is desirable but not essential.

Experience leading or supervising a team is advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

Reliable, hardworking, and able to perform well under pressure.

    Strong communication and organisational skills.

Proactive with a flexible, hands-on approach.

A full UK driving licence and your own transport are essential due to the client's location.

A valid forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.

    What's on Offer

    Competitive salary, dependent on experience.

    Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.

    Full training and ongoing development.

Monday to Friday working hours – no regular weekend work.

Career progression within a growing food manufacturing business.

    Supportive working environment.

    Staff benefits (where applicable).

If you're looking for an opportunity to develop your career in food manufacturing and leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
