How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: London & Home Counties
    Contract: Permanent

We are working with an established FM service provider that is looking to recruit an experienced Mobile HVAC Engineer to cover a mixed portfolio of commercial sites across London and the Home Counties.

This is a mobile role, with work scheduled around two weeks in advance, giving the engineer clear visibility of where they will be working. The successful candidate can be based anywhere around London, as the workload is spread across London and the surrounding Home Counties.

This role would suit an HVAC / Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer who has previously worked for a recognised FM or building services provider such as CBRE, Mitie, Integral, Equans, NG Bailey, JLL, ISS or a similar established maintenance contractor.

    The Role

As a Mobile HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, fault finding, reactive repairs and remedial works across a range of live commercial environments.

    Sites will include:

    Restaurants
    Bars
    Pubs
    Dental surgeries
    Nurseries
    Commercial premises
    Other live FM environments
Much of the work will be carried out in occupied and customer-facing areas, so the engineer must be professional, presentable and confident working safely around staff, customers, patients, children and members of the public.

The majority of the role will involve maintenance, fault finding and repairs to AC and HVAC systems, with occasional small installation or replacement works such as replacing condensers, AC cassettes and associated equipment.

    Typical Duties

Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on AC and HVAC systems
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across commercial sites
Working on split systems, VRV / VRF, AHUs, FCUs and general HVAC equipment
Completing remedial works following maintenance visits
Occasional small installation and replacement works
Replacing condensers, cassettes or associated AC components where required
Working safely in live environments including hospitality, healthcare, childcare and commercial premises
Updating CAFM systems using a PDA
Completing job sheets, service reports and asset updates accurately
Liaising professionally with clients, site managers, helpdesks and internal teams
Identifying additional works and reporting recommendations back to the office
Managing your own workload and route in line with scheduled works
    The Candidate

The client is looking for an experienced HVAC Engineer with a strong maintenance background and some small works / installation experience.

You will need to have worked in commercial environments and ideally have previous experience with a main FM service provider or established building services maintenance contractor.

    Essential requirements:

    F-Gas certification
Strong HVAC / Air Conditioning maintenance experience
Experience with fault finding, repairs and remedial works
Some small installation or replacement experience
Experience working in live commercial environments
Experience updating CAFM systems using a PDA
    Full UK driving licence
    Able to pass DBS checks
    Good communication and client-facing skills
Professional, reliable and able to work independently
    Desirable experience:

Background with a major FM provider or established service contractor
Experience across restaurants, pubs, bars, dental surgeries, nurseries or similar live environments
Experience with splits, VRV / VRF, AHUs, FCUs and cassette systems
Ability to identify follow-on works and support quote generation
    Package

    £45,000 basic salary
Overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours per week
    Company van
    Fuel card
    PDA / mobile working system
    Permanent position
Work scheduled approximately two weeks in advance
Varied commercial portfolio across London and the Home Counties
    Immediate start available
Please note: this role does not include door-to-door travel pay, and the company van is for business use only.

This is a great opportunity for a maintenance-focused HVAC Engineer who wants a stable mobile role across London and the Home Counties, working across a varied commercial portfolio with planned schedules and overtime available.
