How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

    Teaching Opportunities for September 2026!

Are you graduating this summer and looking to start your teaching career in September 2026?

Each year, many ECTs who register with Vision for Education go on to secure permanent teaching positions in schools where they initially started on supply assignments. Registering with us could be your first step towards landing your dream teaching role!

"Looking back, I’m genuinely grateful for the time I spent doing supply work with Vision for Education. It gave me the practical experience I needed, helped me find my teaching style, and ultimately opened the door to a permanent position.

It’s the perfect way to explore different teaching environments while developing the confidence and skills needed to thrive in a full-time role. If you’re a newly qualified teacher, or even just thinking about your next step in education, I can’t recommend Vision for Education highly enough. They helped me grow, supported me through every stage, and played a key role in launching my career"

Vision for Education are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work in primary schools on both short term and long term supply assignments across the next academic year.

Whether you are looking to gain experience in a variety of schools, build confidence in the classroom, or secure your first permanent teaching role, supply work can be the perfect place to start.

Why choose supply work as an ECT?

Working on supply is an excellent way to:

Get your foot in the door with local schools
Build valuable relationships and network with school leaders and educational professionals
Gain experience across different school settings, age groups, and year groups
Develop your classroom practice and confidence
Discover the type of school environment that suits you best
Maintain flexibility while beginning your career

    We offer:

Short term, long term, and day to day supply opportunities
    Support from experienced education consultants
Access to CPD and training opportunities
    Competitive rates of pay
Opportunities across a wide range of schools

    Requirements:

QTS (or pending QTS completion this summer)
A passion for education and supporting young people
Strong communication and classroom management skills
Start your teaching journey with Vision for Education and discover where supply work could take you.

Apply today or contact our team to find out more.
