How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a recent or soon-to-be graduate in Psychology, Criminology, or Sociology looking to gain practical experience in education as an Aspiring Educational Psychologist?

    This school in East Grinstead offers an excellent opportunity for an Aspiring Educational Psychologist / SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to gain hands-on experience supporting children and young people with additional needs in a specialist setting.

    This school based inn East Grinstead is a welcoming and inclusive special school for pupils with a range of needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. They work closely with therapists and professionals to support pupils' cognitive, emotional, and social development.

    This Aspiring Educational Psychologist / Learning Support Assistant role is ideal for graduates looking to build experience before pursuing further training in Educational Psychology or related fields.

    You will work alongside teachers, SEN specialists, and therapists to support learning, behaviour, and development, while gaining insight into assessment and intervention strategies used in educational settings.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
    Support learning, cognition, and engagement in the classroom
    Assist with implementing individual education and behaviour plans
    Observe and record pupil progress and behaviour
    Support emotional regulation and social interaction
    Contribute to a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment

    A degree in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, or a related field
    Patience, empathy, and resilience
    Strong observation and communication skills
    A proactive and reflective approach to learning
    Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential)
