How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Electrician - Fault finding, Maintenance, and Minor installs work
£45,000+ | Company Van with personal use | Healthcare Sector |
We're reasonably flexible on your location, as work is on average booked to be within around 30 mins from where you're based. Travel is paid at normal rate when exceeding 30 miles each way.
This is a mobile role, so you'll work from your van using an electronic job management system rather than travelling into the office every day.

This Electrician opportunity is to work for a business with over 120 field based staff, plus office support employees. Specifically, they have around 20 Electricians, and are in need of another senior electrician who can bring experience with commercial fault finding, and handling more complex electrical work.

    Why Electricians like working here:

Call out rota only 1 week in every 18, with a £145 standby payment plus door to door double time pay when called out. Shifts are often swapped, so there is the option to do more or less - Although technically mandatory. Any call outs on bank holidays completed, will result in an additional days annual leave added.
Salary from £45,000, with an open-ness to discuss flexibility for the right person.
7:30am - 4:00pm working day. Allowances to flex on this when a site is further out can be made. And when overtime is taken you can chose to take pay or to take time in loo.
Modern company vans (with optional personal use).
Enhanced company sick pay – following the initial qualifying period, you'll receive up to 6 weeks' full pay, followed by a further 6 weeks' half pay. Full details are provided within your contract of employment.
24 days holiday, with the option to buy additional leave after 12 months.
Strong support network including dedicated helpdesk and call-out management.
Comprehensive induction with a buddy system for your first few months.
Family events, Christmas parties, wellbeing support and an excellent employee referral scheme.
Stable, profitable business with around £20M annual turnover.  What they're looking for:
This role will suit someone who enjoys fault finding and takes pride in solving problems.
You'll need to be confident working independently, but also happy being the person other electricians pick up the phone to when they need advice.
Because of the type of environments you'll be working in, adaptability, patience and professionalism are just as important as technical ability.

    Essential

    Experienced as a Commercial Electrician.
    2391 or equivalent.
    AM2.
Full UK driving licence. If you're an experienced electrician looking for a long-term role with a well-organised company that genuinely looks after its engineers, I'd be happy to tell you more.
