How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Test Manager

    £600-£650/day | Inside IR35 | Until March 2027 | 3 Days/Week On-site in Leeds | Immediate Start

    We're looking for an experienced Test Manager to lead quality assurance across a large-scale digital transformation programme. You'll be responsible for defining the overall testing strategy, leading a team of Quality Engineers, and ensuring quality is embedded throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in test management, automation and stakeholder engagement who enjoys leading teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Define and deliver the overall test strategy across multiple workstreams.
    Lead, mentor and develop a team of Quality Engineers.
    Drive the adoption of test automation, with a strong focus on Playwright.
    Establish testing standards, processes, KPIs and quality metrics.
    Oversee test planning, execution, defect management and reporting.
    Work closely with engineering, product and delivery teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of development.
    Identify risks, remove blockers and continuously improve testing practices.
    Provide regular reporting and quality insights to senior stakeholders.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    Proven experience as a Test Manager on large-scale Agile transformation programmes.
    Strong background in test strategy, test management and quality assurance.
    Hands-on knowledge of test automation frameworks, particularly Playwright.
    Experience leading and mentoring high-performing QA/Test Engineering teams.
    Strong understanding of the full software testing lifecycle.
    Experience working with modern CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery practices.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

    Desirable

    Experience within large enterprise or retail environments.
    Knowledge of testing process improvement and quality engineering best practices.
    Experience working across multiple teams within complex delivery programmes
