How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our client's team and drive their counterbalance forklift to assist with stock management operations. 

    Job Title: Forklift Driver (Counterbalance)
    Job Type: Full Time; Temporary Ongoing
    Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
    Location: Cullompton
    Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm About the role:
    We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join a dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing materials handling operations, including loading and unloading goods, and maintaining accurate inventory records.  A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence and familiarity with warehouse management systems are essential for success in this position.
     
    Key Responsibilities of the Forklift Driver:

    Operate forklifts safely and effectively to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse.
    Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of materials.
    Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately.
    Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues.
    Handle materials with care, ensuring safe lifting techniques and adherence to health and safety regulations.
    Support stock organisation, stacking, and storage to optimise warehouse space utilisation.
    Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including organising stockrooms and preparing goods for dispatch. Experience Required of the Forklift Driver:

    Minimum 2-years experience driving a counterbalance forklift.
    Valid Counterbalance Forklift License
    Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory control.
    Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
    Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control.
    Understanding of materials handling procedures, including load/unloading
    Experience in shipping & receiving processes within a busy environment.
    Ability to perform basic calculations for inventory counts and measurements.
    Physical capability for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or moving around the warehouse.   Benefits for the Forklift Driver:
