How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

From creating production works orders and managing customer schedules to coordinating dispatch activities and maintaining production records, you'll be at the centre of ensuring our operations run efficiently.

    This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation and delivering excellent customer service.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive salary

    * 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

    * Company pension scheme

    * Healthcare benefits

    * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

    * Holiday Purchase Scheme

    * Birthday leave

    * Long service awards

    * Free onsite parking

    * Free tea & coffee

    * Career development and training opportunities

    * Supportive and collaborative working environment

    Key Responsibilities

    * Create and maintain production works orders, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.

    * Process customer sales orders and subcontract purchase orders within the ERP/MRP system.

    * Download and maintain customer production schedules to support manufacturing plans.

    * Coordinate customer dispatches, delivery bookings and shipping documentation, including Certificates of Conformity (CoC/CoFC).

    * Maintain accurate production, inventory and dispatch records to support full traceability and audit compliance.

    * Support Bond Store administration, materials control and the release of works orders to production.

    * Work closely with Production, Stores, Logistics and Quality teams to ensure customer delivery commitments are achieved.

    * Identify opportunities to improve production administration processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

    About You

    We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working in a busy manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.

    You'll ideally have:

    * Previous experience in a Production Control, Production Planning, Manufacturing Administration or Production Support role.

    * Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or aerospace environment.

    * Good knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

    * Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

    * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across departments.

    * A proactive approach with a willingness to support operational requirements and continuous improvement activities.

    * Experience with dispatch administration, works orders, production scheduling or inventory control would be advantageous.

    Why Join Silcoms?

    At Silcoms, you'll become part of a team that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality aerospace components to customers around the world. You'll work in a collaborative environment where your contribution is valued, with opportunities to develop your skills and build a long-term career within a growing business.
