How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    🚗 MOT Tester (Class 4)

    Cranleigh Area | £36,000–£40,000 Basic + Up to £6,000 Bonus | Monday to Friday

    Tired of being taken for a test? Here's a role that actually passes inspection.

    We're recruiting on behalf of a respected independent garage in the Cranleigh area that's looking for a qualified Class 4 MOT Tester to join its friendly team.

    If you know your advisories from your failures, don't panic every time someone mentions a brake test, and think a clean MOT bay is a thing of beauty, this could be the role for you.

    What's in it for you?

    ✔ £36,000–£40,000 basic salary
    ✔ Up to £6,000 annual bonus
    ✔ Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm – because weekends are for enjoying, not just inspecting.
    ✔ Optional 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (helpful, but not essential)
    ✔ 22 days' holiday plus Bank Holidays
    ✔ Long Service Leave increasing to 25 days after 3 years
    ✔ Loyalty bonus starting at £750 per year, increasing by £750 each year up to £3,750 annually after 5 years

    The Role

    You'll carry out Class 4 MOT tests to DVSA standards, ensuring every vehicle is assessed accurately, fairly and safely. You'll be joining an independent garage that values quality over quantity and believes its people are just as important as the cars they work on.

    * Holds a valid Class 4 MOT Tester licence

    * Takes pride in doing the job properly
