How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Product Analyst - Mortgages

    Location: London Hybrid 3 days WFH

    Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

    Hours: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5.30 pm

    Our client is a fast-growing fintech mortgage lender focused on the UK residential mortgage market. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded individual to join a growing business, supporting product strategy, market analysis, and mortgage sourcing optimisation.

    You will play a key role in ensuring mortgage products are accurately positioned across sourcing platforms, helping to improve broker experience and maximise product visibility. You'll also support market research, competitor analysis, product development, and governance activities, providing valuable insight to influence commercial decisions.

    Responsibilities for the role of Product Analyst:

    Review and optimise how mortgage products are sourced and presented across broker sourcing systems
    Ensure products are accurately configured and positioned to maximise visibility and competitiveness
    Analyse broker search behaviour and identify opportunities to improve product discoverability and user experience
    Lead the ongoing development and maintenance of the sourcing process, ensuring it remains commercially effective
    Build and maintain relationships with mortgage sourcing platforms and key external partners
    Conduct market and competitor research across the UK residential mortgage market
    Support product development by providing commercial analysis and market insight
    Produce analysis and documentation for governance packs and internal decision-making
    Use data and insight to provide clear recommendations to stakeholders across the business
    Support continuous improvement of reporting, processes, and analytical approaches
    Explore the use of AI and modern tools to enhance research, analysis, and operational efficiencyExperience and skills required for the role of Product Analyst:

    Analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to interpret data and produce meaningful commercial insight
    Excel skills with confidence working with large datasets
    Comfortable analysing information from multiple sources to support product and business decisions
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
    Curious, proactive, and keen to learn and develop within a growing fintech business
    Knowledge of UK residential mortgage products and broker sourcing systems
