How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Asia, managing a multi-regional team, preferable within manufacturing environment.

    Procurement Manager
    The Procurement Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for procurement and product compliance. The role is responsible for protecting margin through strategic buying and disciplined control of consumable and logistics costs within the agreed departmental budget.
    The postholder will lead supplier performance and onboarding, manage supply-chain risk, and deliver data-led insight to inform buying, inventory and commercial decisions. Continuous improvement of procurement systems (ERP, Excel and BI toolsets) is required.
    The role works closely with Production, Warehouse, Finance, Sales and the Board, reporting monthly on departmental performance. It is supported with a Merchandiser/Buyer and Consumables and Compliance executive.

    Key accountabilities
    Budget & margin: Own procurement and consumables budgets; deliver cost reductions, cost avoidance and landed-cost improvements.

    Supplier management: Establish lead supplier onboarding, contract and MOQ management, and supplier performance improvement (KPIs/scorecards).

    Risk & continuity: Maintain supply-chain risk register, put in place contingency and alternative-sourcing plans and manage emergency stock arrangements.

    Inventory & planning: Own forecasting, safety-stock policy and fast/slow-moving stock remediation in collaboration with Sales.

    Data & systems: Produce and maintain dashboards and reports; drive ERP/BI/Excel/AI capability to support decisions.

    Compliance & sustainability: Lead product compliance, certification and audit readiness, and embed sustainability/ESG checks in supplier selection.

    Management & leadership: Line-manage and develop the procurement and compliance teams; set objectives, conduct performance reviews and ensure resource planning and succession. Procurement governance: Ensure development and maintenance of procurement policies and records; ensure adherence to approval levels, ethical procurement standards and audit readiness.

    Skills & Experience

    Essential — experience, skills & knowledge

    Minimum five years’ experience in procurement, purchasing or supply-chain roles, preferably in a product, manufacturing or production environment.
    Proven buyer/merchandiser experience including supplier selection, negotiation and contract management; experience of owning budgets and delivering cost reductions.
    Practical experience of supplier performance management, onboarding and corrective action, and of inventory planning (forecasting, safety stock and slow-moving stock remediation).
    Experience of supply-chain risk management and contingency planning.
    Strong commercial negotiation skills and hands-on knowledge of landed-cost calculation.
    Proficient with ERPs and procurement systems (Sage 200 advantageous), advanced Excel and experience producing dashboards/reports (Power BI/Tableau or similar).
    Excellent communication, stakeholder management and prioritisation skills.Desirable

    CIPS qualification (Level 4+) or working towards, and/or degree in Supply Chain/Business.
    Experience of international sourcing (Incoterms, customs/duties), product compliance and sustainability/ESG assessments.
    Familiarity with formal tendering, CLM/P2P tools or basic SQL/data-extraction.
