How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    DVNW Digital Vision Northwest are recruiting an experienced Aerial/Satellite Engineer to join their team. 

    This is a permanent, full-time role offering regular overtime opportunities, ongoing training and varied work across commercial and residential projects. 

    DVNW specialise in the design, installation and maintenance of TV, satellite, IRS, fibre, data and AV systems. The business has built its reputation on quality workmanship, technical knowledge and good customer service, and is now looking for another skilled engineer to join the team.

    The Role
    As an Aerial/Satellite Engineer, you will install, service and maintain a range of TV, satellite, aerial, IRS, data and related systems. You will work across customer sites throughout the North West and across the UK, completing installations, repairs and maintenance work to a high standard. 

    This role would suit someone with previous experience in aerial, satellite, IRS, fibre, data or AV installation who is confident working on-site, using ladders and working safely at height. 

    Key Responsibilities

    Install, service and maintain TV, satellite, aerial, IRS and data systems
    Complete installations and fault repairs
    Carry out TV wall mounting installations
    Work safely at height using ladders and roof access where required
    Travel to customer sites across the North West and wider UK
    Work on both commercial and residential projects
    Complete work to a good standard while providing good customer service
    Follow health and safety procedures at all times
    Work independently and as part of an experienced installation team
    What We’re Looking For in an Aerial/Satellite Engineer

    Previous experience as an Aerial Engineer, Satellite Engineer, Installation Engineer, TV Engineer, AV Engineer or similar
    Full UK driving licence
    CSCS or ECS card
    Confident working at height
    Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
    Able to work independently and manage jobs professionally
    Flexible approach to travel, including occasional overnight stays when required
    Desirable

    Experience with fibre, data or AV installations
    Working at Height certification
    PASMA certification
    Relevant qualifications in TV, satellite, fibre, data or AV installation
    Working Hours
    Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with overtime available. 

    Regular travel is required, including occasional working away from home depending on project requirements.
