How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee mechanical installation projects across the UK, with a strong preference for candidates who have a background in commercial fire sprinkler systems.

    * Read, interpret and mark up mechanical and pipework drawings/schematics.

    We're particularly interested in candidates with a commercial fire sprinkler installation background, as this provides an excellent foundation for the multidisciplinary mechanical systems delivered on our projects.

    You will also have:

    * Proven experience managing mechanical projects on behalf of, or alongside, established main contractors.

    * A successful track record of leading large site teams.

    * Strong knowledge of commercial mechanical services, with fire sprinklers highly desirable.

    * Good understanding of QA processes and Health & Safety legislation.

    * Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

    * Experience reading and marking up technical pipework schematics.

    * Previous experience working on MOJ or MOD projects is advantageous.

    * CSCS Black Card (NVQ Level 6)

    * SMSTS

    * Valid UK Driving Licence

    * Own vehicle (travel and mileage expenses paid)

    Desirable

    * First Aid at Work

    * Current BPSS clearance or eligibility to obtain BPSS clearance

    What's on Offer

    * £400 per day (Negotiable)

    * 12-month contract

    * Travel and mileage reimbursed

    * Opportunity to work on major secure government projects

    * Long-term pipeline of work across the UK

    Please note that these projects are based within secure prison environments. Successful applicants must either hold current BPSS clearance or be eligible to obtain it
