How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Intermediate Quantity Surveyor (APC / Chartered Development)
    London & South East

    Are you an ambitious Intermediate Quantity Surveyor looking to progress your career within a technically challenging and rewarding environment?

    We're working with a respected specialist contractor delivering complex refurbishment, building safety and remediation projects across London and the South East. They are looking for an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor who is either working towards their APC or recently achieved MRICS status.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced commercial team, gaining exposure to high-profile projects while receiving structured support and professional development.

    The Role

    You'll support the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with senior management, clients, consultants and subcontractors.

    Project Experience

    Projects include:

    *

    Building Safety remediation

    *

    Cladding and façade remediation

    *

    Refurbishment and heritage restoration

    *

    Higher Risk Buildings (HRBs)

    *

    Occupied residential, mixed-use and public sector developments

    Responsibilities

    *

    Supporting cost planning, procurement and budgeting

    *

    Preparing and managing subcontract packages

    *

    Assisting with valuations, variations and change control

    *

    Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial administration

    *

    Supporting final account preparation

    *

    Maintaining accurate commercial records

    About You

    *

    Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

    *

    Working towards RICS APC or recently achieved MRICS

    *

    Main contractor experience preferred

    *

    Good understanding of JCT contracts and construction procurement

    *

    Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills

    *

    Motivated to develop and progress professionally
