How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Consortium Professional Recruitment are pleased to be working with our client to recruit a Project Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative engineering team where you'll play a key role in developing high quality products, solving complex technical challenges and supporting projects from initial concept through to production.

    The Opportunity:
    As a Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in:

    Developing innovative engineering solutions that improve product functionality, quality, reliability and manufacturability.
    Creating detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation to support new product development.
    Working closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers and external partners to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
    Supporting product testing, engineering validation, risk analysis and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.
    Driving value engineering activities to improve cost, weight, quality and overall product performance. Your work will directly contribute to delivering innovative, reliable products while supporting continuous improvement and technical excellence across the engineering function.
      
    About You:
    We're looking for someone who can bring:

    A degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
    Experience within a design or product engineering environment, ideally within automotive, manufacturing or another engineering-led industry.
    Strong CAD experience, along with an understanding of engineering drawings, materials and manufacturing processes.
    Knowledge of engineering tools such as FMEA, FEA or similar product development methodologies would be advantageous.
    Excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, strong problem-solving ability and the confidence to manage multiple priorities while working to project deadlines.
