How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

As a Housing First Support Officer, you will provide day-to-day support to residents living in Housing First accommodation, helping them build independence, stability, and confidence for the future.

    Key responsibilities include:

Arranging and reporting property repairs and maintenance issues, carrying out pre- and post-tenancy inspections, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
Working proactively with partner agencies to identify, manage, and reduce risks to customers and the wider community.
Building positive relationships with customers and external organisations, signposting and referring individuals to appropriate services and support.
Developing and reviewing person-centred support plans, ensuring residents are actively involved in setting and achieving their goals.
Attending and contributing to internal and external support planning meetings.
Working closely with supported accommodation providers and social housing landlords to identify suitable move-on opportunities for residents.
Managing a caseload of customers with varying and often complex needs.
Maintaining accurate and comprehensive manual and electronic records, including assessments, support plans, customer contacts, outcomes, and risk management documentation.About You

With a sound understanding of housing management, rent account management, tenancy administration, risk assessments and support planning, you will be able to demonstrate significant experience of supporting people with complex needs who require high levels of support.

You will have experience of developing effective, collaborative relationships with accommodation providers and support agencies, together with knowledge of the local support landscape including Mental Health Services, Health Services, Welfare and Benefits support and other relevant agencies.

You will also be able to work independently, manage complex priorities and remain self-motivated with minimal supervision.
