How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    • Review MEP designs, technical submittals, shop drawings, and specifications.
    • Lead MEP coordination and progress meetings, recording actions and ensuring follow-up.
    • Plan upcoming works, produce look-ahead schedules, and ensure labour, materials, and plant are available.
    • Monitor quality standards through first fix, second fix, and final inspections, ensuring all QA documentation is completed.
    • Manage RFIs, design changes, technical queries, and value engineering opportunities.
    • Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover of all MEP systems.
    • Coordinate permanent utility installations and liaise with statutory service providers where required.
    • Ensure compliance with building regulations, health & safety legislation, and project specifications.
    • Work closely with the commercial and design teams to manage subcontractor performance, variations, and project risks.
    • Maintain accurate project records, site diaries, commissioning documentation, and progress reports.

    Requirements
    • Proven experience as an MEP Manager, Building Services Manager, or Senior MEP Engineer on large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
    • Experience managing Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing packages on projects valued in excess of £10 million or developments comprising 200+ residential units.
    • Strong understanding of MEP design, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
    • Experience managing subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams.
    • Excellent knowledge of current Building Services regulations and industry best practices.
    • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to monitor subcontractor performance and programme delivery.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software such as Procore is advantageous.

    • Generous annual leave entitlement plus public holidays.
    • Long-term career progression with a leading residential contractor.
    • Opportunity to work on high-profile residential developments within a collaborative and supportive team
