How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    M&E Supervisor – Long Term Apartment Projects
    Location: Birmingham / Wolverhampton
    Rate: £300 per day
    Duration: 18 Months
    Start Date: Immediate
    MEP Technical Talent are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Supervisor to join a leading M&E Contractor delivering large-scale residential projects across the Midlands.
    This is a long-term opportunity working with an established contractor who has secured a major new apartment development due to commence shortly, offering approximately 18 months of continuous work.
    Initially, you will be supporting the team on the completion stages of a large student accommodation scheme before moving onto the next project — a 334 apartment development in Wolverhampton.
    The Role:
    Working as the M&E Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating site activities and ensuring mechanical and electrical works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
    Duties will include:
    * Supervising M&E installation works on site
    * Managing subcontractors and trades
    * Carrying out site inspections and quality checks
    * Producing and managing snagging lists
    * Overseeing QA documentation and handover requirements
    * Updating progress using digital site systems (Field View or similar)
    * Coordinating with the client, main contractor and project team
    * Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained
    * Driving programme and ensuring deadlines are achieved
    Requirements:
    * Previous experience as an M&E Supervisor / Electrical Supervisor / Mechanical Supervisor
    * Experience delivering apartments, student accommodation, hotels or similar projects preferred
    * Strong understanding of M&E installations
    * Ability to manage trades and push works forward
    * Experience with QA systems such as Field View beneficial
    * SSSTS or SMSTS required
    * CSCS / ECS Card
    Package:
    * £300 per day
