How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teacher - Hayes, West London

    Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
    Job Type: Full-Time | Long-Term (Potential Permanent Opportunity)
    Start Date: September

    Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming specialist primary school in Hayes to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time role starting in September.

    This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school caters for pupils aged 4-11 and offers a supportive, well-resourced environment where staff work together to help every child succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

    SEN Teacher Responsibilities

    Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH needs.
    Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
    Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external professionals.
    Work collaboratively with experienced teaching assistants and specialist staff.
    Use positive behaviour management strategies to support emotional regulation and learning.
    Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs.
    Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans where appropriate.

    SEN Teacher Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
    Experience teaching pupils with SEND, SEMH or in a specialist setting is desirable.
    Applications are welcomed from experienced mainstream teachers with a genuine interest in SEND.
    Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
    A patient, resilient and compassionate approach to teaching.
    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
