How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Automotive Factory Operative

    Location: Washington

    Pay: £14.19 per hour

    Overtime: Up to £26.78 per hour

    We're recruiting Automotive Factory Operatives to join one of the UK's leading automotive manufacturers based in Washington. If you have previous experience as a Factory Operative, Production Operative, Assembly Operative, or Manufacturing Operative, this could be the perfect opportunity to take the next step in your career.

    The Role

    As an Automotive Factory Operative, you'll play an important role in the production of high-quality automotive components. Duties include:

    * Operating production and manufacturing machinery.

    * Assembly of automotive components.

    * Trimming and finishing products to specification.

    * Inspecting parts to ensure quality standards are met.

    * Material handling throughout the production process.

    * Making basic machine adjustments where required.

    * Working to production targets in a fast-paced factory environment.

    * Following all quality, health and safety, and manufacturing procedures.

    * Supporting continuous improvement across the production line.

    What We're Looking For

    To be successful in this role you'll need:

    * A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Factory Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Assembly Operative, or within a similar manufacturing environment.

    * Previous automotive manufacturing experience is desirable.

    * Ability to work a rotating two-shift pattern.

    * Flexibility to work overtime when required.

    * Excellent attention to detail.

    * A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    * A strong commitment to quality and health & safety.

    Shift Pattern

    Days: 6:00am – 2:28pm

    Lates: 3:15pm – 11:43pm
