How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join a Tier 1 Contractor on the delivery team on a major commercial office development in Cambridge.

    This role will focus on the management and delivery of CAT A internal fit-out works across multiple floor plates, ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in coordinating internal construction activities, working closely with subcontractors and the wider project team to maintain efficient progress throughout the build.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead the safe delivery of internal fit-out works, promoting the highest standards of health, safety and quality.
    Manage and coordinate subcontractors delivering CAT A works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
    Oversee the installation of raised access floors, suspended ceilings, landlord finishes and associated building services.
    Coordinate labour, materials and site activities to ensure works are sequenced effectively and delivered efficiently.
    Monitor progress, identify potential risks and implement solutions to maintain programme milestones.
    Work collaboratively with design, commercial and MEP teams to resolve site issues and support successful project delivery.
    Maintain high standards of quality, housekeeping and site organisation throughout the construction process.

    About You

    Previous experience as a Construction Manager delivering commercial building projects with a strong focus on internal fit-out and CAT A works.
    Experience working on large, complex construction projects, ideally with a Tier 1 main contractor.
    Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, subcontractor management and internal finishes.
    Proven ability to lead site teams and coordinate multiple work fronts within a live construction environment.
    HNC (or equivalent) in a construction-related discipline.
    Membership of, or working towards membership of, a recognised professional institution (MCIOB or equivalent desirable).This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering a landmark commercial development, where you'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the successful delivery of high-quality internal spaces
