How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Team Leader – Recruitment

    Location: Derby (Office-based)
    Salary: Negotiable DOE + Uncapped Commission + Excellent Benefits

    Are you an experienced Recruitment Team Leader or Senior Recruitment Consultant ready to take the next step in your career?

    We're looking for an ambitious, driven and commercially minded Team Leader to join a well-established and growing recruitment business in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to lead, develop and grow a team while remaining hands-on with your own clients and business development.

    The Role

    As Team Leader, you'll be responsible for managing, mentoring and motivating a team of Recruitment Consultants, ensuring they achieve both individual and team targets while maintaining exceptional service levels for clients and candidates.

    You'll lead from the front by continuing to bill, developing new business opportunities and helping shape the future growth of the Derby office.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Lead, coach and develop a team of Recruitment Consultants.

    * Set individual and team objectives, monitoring performance against KPIs and revenue targets.

    * Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and coaching sessions.

    * Support consultants with client meetings, negotiations and candidate management.

    * Drive new business development and expand existing client relationships.

    * Manage your own recruitment desk, generating consistent billings.

    * Recruit, onboard and train new consultants as the team grows.

    * Ensure best practice recruitment processes and compliance are maintained.

    * Foster a positive, high-performance and collaborative team culture.

    * Report on team performance and contribute to business strategy.

    About You

    You'll ideally have:

    * Previous experience as a Recruitment Team Leader, Managing Consultant, Principal Consultant or Senior Recruitment Consultant.

    * A proven track record of billing and winning new business.

    * Experience managing, mentoring or developing recruitment consultants.

    * Strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills.

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

    * Commercial awareness with a results-driven mindset.

    * The ability to lead by example in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
