How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Company

Our client is a long-established, privately owned main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional high-end residential, heritage and refurbishment projects across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds and the surrounding counties. Their portfolio includes bespoke new-build homes, period property refurbishments, listed building restorations, complex extensions and luxury estate developments, working closely with private clients, architects and professional teams to deliver projects of the highest quality. The business places great emphasis on craftsmanship, attention to detail and collaborative project delivery, with many schemes procured through negotiated contracts and repeat business.

    The Role

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple high-quality construction projects from pre-construction through to final handover.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing several live projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the exceptional quality standards expected by both the business and its clients.

This position would suit an experienced Project Manager who has managed individual projects valued at approximately £2 million or above, whilst successfully overseeing multiple projects at any one time.

    Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple live construction projects from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
Deliver projects safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants throughout the construction process.
Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes and monitor progress against key milestones.
Chair site progress meetings and maintain regular communication with clients, architects and professional teams.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring issues are resolved proactively.
Monitor project costs and work closely with the commercial team to maximise profitability.
Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation, company procedures and quality standards.
Review construction details and coordinate design information to ensure buildability and programme efficiency.
Oversee procurement activities and ensure materials and subcontractors are appointed in line with project requirements.
Manage project documentation, reporting and contractual obligations.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the wider project team, ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout. Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry.
Demonstrable experience managing construction projects valued at circa £2 million+.
Experience managing multiple live projects simultaneously.
Previous experience delivering high-end residential, refurbishment, heritage, restoration or bespoke new-build projects would be highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and programme management.
Excellent knowledge of health & safety legislation and construction best practice.
Commercially aware with experience working alongside Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to build lasting relationships with private clients, consultants and subcontractors.
    Full UK Driving Licence
