How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Installation Electrician – Commercial Energy Technology
    Location: Bristol, North London, Essex or Birmingham
    Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
    Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum + Overtime + Company Van

    Optima is looking to recruit experienced Installation Electricians to join our Clients growing team, they are a leading provider of innovative energy management solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of commercial projects, installing advanced metering and control systems across sites throughout the UK.     The Role
    As an Installation Electrician, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning 3-phase metering and energy control systems at commercial customer sites nationwide. The role involves regular travel and overnight stays, working closely with internal technical teams to deliver high-quality installations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Install 3-phase metering and energy control systems at commercial premises.
    Carry out installation, commissioning and testing of equipment.
    Support technical teams with on-site energy monitoring and analysis.
    Travel to customer sites across the UK, including regular overnight stays.
    Maintain company vehicle, tools and stock levels.
    Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current electrical regulations.
    Deliver excellent customer service while representing the business professionally.What We're Looking For
    Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
    Experience working on commercial electrical installations.
    Experience with 3-phase electrical systems.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
    Happy to travel nationwide and stay away from home when required.
    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
