How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    QHSE Engineer

    Salary Circa £40,000 p.a.

    4 Day Week

    Dudley Area

    Permanent Role

    This is an exciting role working for a growing business and therefore there is good opportunities to progress. The right candidate will have worked in the Automotive or Aerospace industries previously in a Quality capacity.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    * Production of PPAP’s, ISIR’s & other customer specific documentation

    * Maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System - managing annual quality audit and systems

    * Create FMEA, Control plans, PSW, IMDS

    * Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions

    * Carry out inspections (first-off, last-off, and in-process checks)

    * Ensure products meet customer specifications and tolerances

    * Support quality requirements like APQP, ISIR, PSW and 8D’s

    * Work with production teams to reduce defects and waste

    * Keep H&S system up to date and support external advisors

    * Conduct risk assessments and review safe working practices

    * Ensure compliance with UK health and safety regulations

    * Monitor safe operation of machinery and equipment

    * Investigate accidents and implement preventative measures

    * Carry out internal audits for quality and safety

    * Support external and customer audits

    * Create and update procedures, work instructions, and records

    * Train staff on quality standards and health & safety procedures

    * Drive continuous improvement using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools

    * Producing workflow processes for new product introduction

    THE CANDIDATE:

    * At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment

    * Conversant with the ISO 9001 systems and procedures

    * CMM experience

    * IOSH Qualification (NEBOSH desirable but not essential)

    * Ability to work to tight deadlines

    * Ability to work on own initiative

    * Good problem-solving skills

    * Able to converse with customers regarding requirements / NPI

    Salary Circa £40,000 p.a.

    Permanent role

    Four day week – Monday to Thursday 41 hours per week - 7.45am to 6.00pm, (times can be flexible)

    27 days annual including Bank Holidays
