How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Nursery Room Leader - Baby Room - TE63308

    Location: Henley-on-Thames
    Hours: 40 hours per week (preferably over 5 days)
    Salary: From £31,000 per year

    We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic nursery room leader to join our welcoming nursery in the beautiful town of Henley-on-Thames. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate nursery room leader who enjoys supporting babies during the most important stage of their early development while leading a dedicated and caring team.

    As our new nursery room leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our Baby Room, ensuring every child receives the highest standard of care, learning and development. You will create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where babies can thrive, while building strong partnerships with parents and carers.

    The successful nursery room leader will be confident in leading by example, supporting colleagues and maintaining excellent standards throughout the room. You will inspire your team to deliver outstanding early years practice and ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and statutory requirements are met.

    We are looking for a nursery room leader who has a genuine passion for working with children under two years of age, excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. You should hold a relevant Early Years qualification and have previous experience working within a nursery setting, ideally in a leadership role.

    As a nursery room leader, your responsibilities will include planning engaging activities that support each child's individual development, carrying out observations and assessments, mentoring team members, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the Baby Room is welcoming, organised and fully compliant with current regulations.
