The Role
Working closely with the Headteacher, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of pastoral care.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading behaviour, attendance and pastoral support across the school.
Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare.
Developing and implementing whole-school pastoral strategies that improve outcomes.
Leading and developing staff through coaching, performance management and professional development.
Using behaviour and attendance data to drive school improvement.
Building strong relationships with pupils, families, external agencies and professionals.
Supporting the day-to-day leadership of the school and deputising for the Headteacher when required.
About You
We're looking for a confident, resilient and compassionate leader who is committed to achieving the very best outcomes for every pupil.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
A strong track record of improving behaviour, attendance and pastoral provision.
Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation and statutory guidance.
Outstanding communication, organisational and leadership skills.
The ability to inspire, motivate and develop staff while building positive relationships with pupils, families and external agencies.
Experience within an SEN and/or SEMH setting would be an advantage.
