How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Junior Application Support Analyst

    £25,000 - £30,000 + Benefits | Liverpool On Site

    The Opportunity

    We're working with a growing consumer business that's investing heavily in its technology function and looking to appoint a Junior Application Support Analyst.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience to develop their career within Application Support and Business Systems. You'll work across a range of core business applications, supporting day-to-day operations while gaining exposure to system enhancements, integrations and technology projects.

    If you're looking to build your technical knowledge within a supportive team and broaden your experience beyond traditional IT support, this is a fantastic opportunity.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Application Support

    Provide first-line support across a range of core business applications
    Investigate system, order and inventory-related issues
    Troubleshoot application problems and escalate more complex issues where required
    Maintain support documentation and knowledge articlesProject Support

    Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes and enhancements
    Support configuration and implementation activities
    Work alongside third-party technology partners on project delivery
    Keep project plans and support tickets up to dateContinuous Improvement

    Develop expertise across the organisation's application landscape
    Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements
    Help improve support processes and documentationAbout You

    We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, has excellent attention to detail and is keen to develop a career within Business Systems and Application Support.

    You'll ideally have experience with:

    1-2 years' experience within Application Support, IT Support or Business Systems
    Exposure to ERP, CRM or business applications
    Experience supporting ecommerce or customer-facing platforms would be beneficial
    Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
    Excellent communication and stakeholder management
    Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAny exposure to integrations, APIs, ticketing systems or warehouse management systems would be advantageous but isn't essential.
